Blueberry Streusel Cobbler

This is a recipe for blueberry streusel cobble that nobody will be able to resist. It’s freshly baked that is covered with a homemade blueberry sauce. It’s delicious and wonderful warm with vanilla bean ice cream.
Ingredients -

1 Pint Fresh Blueberries
1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk, (14 ounce) 
2 Teaspoons Grated Lemon Peel
3/4 Cup Cold Butter
2 Cups Biscuit Baking Mix, divided
1/2 Cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
2 Tablespoons Cold Butter
1/2 Cup Pecan Nuts, chopped
 
Blueberry Sauce:
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
1/2 Cup Water
1 Pint Fresh Blueberries

 
Preparation:
    1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
    2. Combine the blueberries, sweetened condensed milk and lemon peel in a large bowl.
    3. In a separate large bowl, cut 3/4 cup butter into 1 1/2 cups biscuit mix until crumbly.
    4. Stir in the blueberry mixture.
    5. Spread the mixture into a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
    6. Combine the remaining 1/2 cup biscuit mix and brown sugar in a small bowl.
    7. Cut in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until crumbly.
    8. Add the pecan nuts.
    9. Sprinkle over the cobbler.
    10. Bake for 65 minutes.
    11. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
    12. Gradually add in the water.
    13. Cook and stir until thickened.
    14. Stir in blueberries; cook and stir until hot.
    15. Serve the cobbler warm with vanilla ice cream and the Blueberry Sauce.

If you want an even fresher taste to this recipe; when it calls for 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest , change it up with 3 teaspoons grated lemon peel. It makes a world of difference in the tanginess of this already delicious recipe.
